Contract: HSEQ
Location: Weybridge (hybrid), with travel across the South East region, including Reading, Southampton, Luton and Margate
Hours of work: 37.5
Contract type: FTC - 12 months

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a HSEQ Business Partner to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems, aligned to a consistent operational framework.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, this role plays a key part in embedding a strong culture of safety, compliance and quality across operations. The HSEQ Business Partner will work closely with operational and client teams, providing expert guidance and assurance while proactively identifying and managing risk.

Through audits, incident investigation and continuous improvement activity, the role will directly contribute to service excellence and help reinforce a reputation for dependable, high-quality and safety-focused facilities support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical and proactive HSEQ support, enabling teams to work safely, efficiently and in line with required standards.
  • Act as a trusted partner to regional accounts, coaching and mentoring teams on HSEQ matters.
  • Promote clear ownership and accountability for HSEQ activities across all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with client counterparts to ensure HSEQ processes meet agreed expectations and internal standards.
  • Understand contract risk profiles and proactively manage significant hazards, including statutory compliance, food safety and project-related risks.
  • Conduct risk-based audits to drive continuous improvement and compliance with organisational standards.
  • Lead investigations into high-severity incidents and provide governance oversight for lower-level incidents.
  • Champion HSEQ and wellbeing campaigns to improve engagement, awareness and outcomes.

Person Specification

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous HSEQ experience within a matrix-managed environment (desirable).
  • Experience within facilities management or a similar operational setting (desirable).
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO standards, including ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, and auditing practices.
  • Understanding of statutory compliance, food safety and operational risk management.
  • Experience in incident investigation with the ability to apply proportionate governance.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess and manage risk while influencing operational decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across regions and functions as part of a wider team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel regularly to client sites (car or car allowance provided).
