Mains Renewal Project | Thames Water Framework

£500 a day per pair

We are currently seeking experienced Main Layers to join our team on a major Thames Water mains renewal project based in the Thames Valley (Didcot area).



Role Overview

You will be working as part of a skilled construction team delivering essential water infrastructure upgrades, including the installation and renewal of water mains in line with Thames Water standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of new water mains (MDPE, DI, and associated fittings)
  • Renewal and replacement of existing mains
  • Excavation, bedding, laying, jointing, and backfilling activities
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with specifications
  • Working alongside plant operators, supervisors, and site teams
  • Adhering to health & safety procedures and environmental guidelines


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Main Layer on water or utilities projects
  • Experience working on Thames Water or similar utility frameworks (desirable)
  • Valid CSCS card (essential)
  • NRSWA / Streetworks ticket (preferred)
  • Knowledge of safe digging practices and utility drawings
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow site instructions
